LOCATION The primary location for LAPC games is the Rancho Park Pétanque Courts. Some members also have courts at their homes or, as is the case in Southern France, in their local community. Because of the sprawling Southern California terrain and the widespread membership base, many members and guests find the camaraderie and skill level at the Rancho Park courts worth the travel time, especially on weekends. The nearest major clubs are: Palm Desert, San Diego, Fresno, and Oakhurst. Players may use the courts any day of the week, all year. Organized and casual games are held on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. through the evening, and on Monday, and Thursday, evenings. The LAPC Pétanque Courts are located between: Rancho Park Golf Course 10460 Pico Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90064 and Cheviot Hills Recreation Center 2551 Motor Ave Los Angeles, CA 90064 at the end of the road from Motor Avenue that runs just south of the golf course. Free parking is available in the spaces adjacent to the road or in the large lot off Motor Avenue. Please respect the fact that smoking, and alcoholic beverages are prohibited in all areas of the park.
